Komentaryo sa 1 Samuel 12:15: Tze'enah Ure'enah & Rashi

Tze'enah Ure'enah

“If you did not listen” [12:15]. If you will not listen to the Holy One’s commandments, God will punish you. Therefore, see now also that God does miracles for you. Is today the wheat harvest? I will call on the Holy One and He will give me rain and great thunder and lightning. It was a great wonder that rain should fall during the harvest of the wheat or grain. Therefore, Samuel said: I want to make rain fall today with my prayers. Samuel prayed and rain fell and there was great thunder. Israel feared God and Samuel.

Rashi

Then Adonoy's hand will be against you and against your forefathers. Meaning it will be against you after it was against your fathers. Our Rabbis however said, "against you and against your fathers" refers to the digging up of the dead, which is a disgrace upon the dead.9 Maseches Yevamos 63b. When people sin, the past generations are also punished by having their grave sites disturbed.—Radak
